Sean Calhoun – Mechanical EngineerMr. Calhoun will be working as the mechanical engineer for EFP. He is a certified Boilermaker and holds a Stationary Engineer/Boilermaker License as well as being certified in Thermal Dynamics theory, electronic, pneumatic and PLC control systems, and design fabrication. Sean has 35 years experience in the combustion industry and has a passion for product and process improvements that result in energy savings and increased safety in the components he designs, manufactures and operates. He brings a strong talent for troubleshooting, failure analysis, and catastrophic event prevention. |

His company has refurbished and upgraded many of the U.S. Navy’s shipboard and stationary desalination plants and steam generation plants on numerous ships. He has worked with industry leaders in sugar mills, power generation plants, alcohol distillation plants, cogeneration plants, sulfuric and phosphoric acid plants and phosphate plants. In the Merchant Marine’s he sailed with Atlantic Refinery on steam powered supertankers as a Boiler Specialist 1st class. For the past five years Sean has been a key component in completing on time retrofit upgrades to MSW biomass reduction plants producing SynGas Energy for production drying of solid waste cake. Sean is currently manufacturing a portable model to thermally produce energy from waste organic material as a proof of concept, demonstration/production unit.
